2016 Corvette Roundup
Is Proud To Sponsor
Touch Of Glass Corvette Club
A big thanks to John Paul and Jerry Schroeder who put untold hours, days, and weeks into the prepara-tion for this show. Notice cars of Steve and Christine Key, James Davenport, Linda and Evan Spicer, (row 2) Beverly McMichael, Heath Pickering, Line of cars from the Bad Boys Corvette Club, (row 3) Terry Hawkins, Barry Cook, and Bud Mahaffey (row 4).
Many thanks to our Clubs major sponsor, Peters Chevrolet. The last time I checked Peters had some-where between 20 and 30 beautiful used Corvettes. These six Corvettes starting with the Blue C7 Stingray Convertible in the top row are a few examples.
Then there was the Dunking Booth. All in fun for a good cause. We had 104 Corvettes on this day.
And so comes the close of our “2016 Corvette Roundupâ€. I know that I had a good time, made some new friends, saw some old ones. We had 104 Corvettes, had several Corvette lovers bring their beautiful Corvettes and several joined our Touch Of Glass Corvette Club. We would like to hear your comments. Is there anything that you would like to see us do in another Corvette Roundup? We had our sponsors and members contribute over Six thousand dollars to our Chairty, Ronald McDonald House Charities. We had a special guest who gave a first hand accounting of their experience with Ronald McDonald House and knew of others in this area who have benefited from this great foundation.

TOUCH OF GLASS CORVETTE MEETING
May 3, 2016
Vette Chatter page 6
President John Pearce called meeting to order at 6:30.
Linda McKinney gave the treasury report. As of May 3rd we have $8,419.00. Minutes and Treasury report were approved by Heath Pickering and Dennis Dick.
Heath told us that he had put Corvette Roundup flyer on Facebook and asked everyone to Like and share it.
Jerry Schroeder was organizing the Dunking Booth.
John Paul gave an update on
2016 Corvette Roundup. He had meeting with Scott Peters to finalize tent, tables and chairs.
We already have several people that have sponsored us: ABC Auto Parts, Copeland Group, Pizza Hut, and Murray Jeweler.
Heath Pickering will get with Scott Peters to discuss advertising possibilities related to the Corvette Roundup. Heath also said the Thrifty Nickel subscription was due. Club discussed whether we wished to continue with the Thrifty Nickel. We were going to research more before a decision. $234 for six months.
We will have a tent at the Ice House and will set up a Membership Drive, $25 per couple which will be good until the end of 2017.
We will register corvettes that come to the roundup. They will get a maximum of 2 tickets. They will get an arm band to get a free lunch. At the end of the lunch line the waitress will cut off the arm band as to keep anyone from going to the line more than once.
We will have a poster made to list Sponsors from $1,000 to $100.
John Pearce went to Shreveport car show and got 3rd place, he also entered in Hot Springs and got nothing.
A search for a new breakfast venue was tabled for now.
50/50 was $20, John Paul won $20.
